  will be perfect for both experienced and novice rogainers, set in the scen
 ic Pierce’s Creek area. Expect a great mix of fire trails for the runners a
 nd cyclists, plus enough navigational challenge around the pines to keep th

 0 minutes from the centre of Canberra. Please carpool.</p><p>Take the Cotte
 r Road west from Canberra, entering from Tuggeranong Parkway if you are fro
 m the north or south of Canberra.</p><p>You will then pass Cotter Campgroun
 d and Cotter Bend before entering Paddys River Road. Drive 2.7 kilometres o
 n Paddys River Road before you will see a turn to the right hand side at La
 urel Camp Road (a good unsealed road, driveable by 2WDs).&nbsp;</p><p>Drivi
 ng approximately 850m on Laurel Camp Road will bring you to a carpark where
  the Hash House will be.&nbsp; Follow signs and volunteer directions for pa

  We recommend that you arrive at least an hour prior to the start of the ev

 ap and Course Details</strong></span></p><p>There will be one A3 map, at 1:
 25,000 scale with 10 m contour intervals. Magnetic north lines are marked o
 n the map. Out of bounds areas are marked in pink shading. Control Descript
 ions are printed on the front, and the course setters’ notes are printed on
  the back. The map is printed on Teslin paper which is very tough and gener
 ally does not need to be covered in contact.&nbsp;</p><p>The vegetation on 
 course is predominantly pine plantation and regenerating forest. Blackberri
 es are prevalent in many established water courses. While the course was se
 t to avoid thicken blackberries, gaitors and long-pants are recommended.&nb
 sp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Water</span><
 /strong></p><p>Please bring enough water for Hash House use and for at leas
 t&nbsp;3 hours&nbsp;on course. There is one water drop on the course, marke
 d on the map. We do not recommend drinking any other water found on the cou

  HH across all networks but patchy around most of the course, with better s
 ignal found at higher elevations. If you have an emergency or need to conta

 he map.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Land Use<
 /strong></span></p><p>The Lower Cotter Catchment Reserve is a&nbsp;drinking
  water catchment, where human activity is restricted to prevent contaminati
 on of streams with human waste.&nbsp;All attempts must be made to meet the 
 following standards when passing human waste:</p><p>a. Be a minimum of 60 m
  from any water source.</p><p>b. Bury waste to a minimum depth of 15cm.</p>
 <p>c. Be a minimum of 20m from tracks, management trails and areas of recre
 ation</p><p>All equipment including bicycles, shoes, backpacks, and any sle
 eping gear, must be thoroughly cleaned prior to the event, and again upon f
 inishing the event. This is to ensure that weed seed and pathogens are not 
 spread by participants.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><
 strong>Summary of Event Rules and Scoring</strong></span></p><ul><li aria-l
 evel="1">The only navigational aids permitted are the maps we provide toget
 her with your compasses.</li><li aria-level="1">Teams consist of 1 to 5 com
 petitors and must remain within earshot of each other at all times. All mem
 bers must simultaneously get to within 5m of each control point.</li><li ar
 ia-level="1">All team members must punch their Navlight tags at each contro
 l to score points.</li><li aria-level="1">If a Navlight punch has failed, r
 ecord the three letter code visible inside the clear end of the punch.</li>
 <li aria-level="1">Competitors must not enter out-of-bounds areas; gates mu
 st be left as found; stock must not be disturbed.</li><li aria-level="1">Th
 e organisers may disqualify a team if it acts against these rules or agains
 t the spirit of the event.</li><li aria-level="1">A team can retire a membe
 r at the hash house. This will finish that team's event. A new team can for

 ><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Land Use</strong></span></p><p>The 
 Lower Cotter Catchment Reserve is a&nbsp;drinking water catchment, where hu
 man activity is restricted to prevent contamination of streams with human w
 aste.&nbsp;All attempts must be made to meet the following standards when p
 assing human waste:</p><p>a. Be a minimum of 60 m from any water source.</p
 ><p>b. Bury waste to a minimum depth of 15cm.</p><p>c. Be a minimum of 20m 
 from tracks, management trails and areas of recreation</p><p>All equipment 
 including bicycles, shoes, backpacks, and any sleeping gear, must be thorou
 ghly cleaned prior to the event, and again upon finishing the event. This i
 s to ensure that weed seed and pathogens are not spread by participants.</p
 ><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Summary of Event Ru
 les and Scoring</strong></span></p><ul><li aria-level="1">The only navigati
 onal aids permitted are the maps we provide together with your compasses.</
 li><li aria-level="1">Teams consist of 1 to 5 competitors and must remain w
 ithin earshot of each other at all times. All members must simultaneously g
 et to within 5m of each control point.</li><li aria-level="1">All team memb
 ers must punch their Navlight tags at each control to score points.</li><li
  aria-level="1">If a Navlight punch has failed, record the three letter cod
 e visible inside the clear end of the punch.</li><li aria-level="1">Competi
 tors must not enter out-of-bounds areas; gates must be left as found; stock
  must not be disturbed.</li><li aria-level="1">The organisers may disqualif
 y a team if it acts against these rules or against the spirit of the event.
 </li><li aria-level="1">A team can retire a member at the hash house. This 
 will finish that team's event. A new team can form but it must start with z
 ero score.</li><li aria-level="1">Late Penalty: 10 points per minute (or pa
 rt) late. Disqualification if more than 30 minutes late.</li><li aria-level
 ="1">If teams score equal points then the first team home will have a highe
