 ree hour&nbsp;<span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Twil
 ight in the Trees </span> rogaine was held at the National Rock Garden, Bar
 renjoey Drive, on the western end of Lake Burley Griffin. The course covere
 d parts of the Black Mountain Nature Reserve, Aranda Bushland Nature Reserv
 e, National Arboretum, National Rock Garden and Molonglo River so you were 
 spoilt for choice of walking in the bush, by the lake, in the grass of the 
 arboretum and on bike paths. The course was designed to be a family friendl
 y, not too difficult event but there will be enough for those wanting a Sat
 urday hit-out too.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helv
 etica, sans-serif;">The start of the event was at 4 pm. <br /></span></p><p
 >Entries cost $15 full and $12 concession. Under 14 free. No solo entries f
 or this event - teams of 2 to 5 people.</p><p>We will <em>not</em> be cater
 ing at this event so please bring your own picnic dinner or snack to enjoy 
 on the grass at the Hash House site. Please be self-sufficient for water at

 3><p>If you have recently returned from overseas, or if you have travelled 
 from a known COVID-19 ‘hotspot’ without a designated period of quarantine/i

 ll be using the Check In CBR app for this event.&nbsp; Posters will be disp

 have tried to make this event as contact-free as possible. There will be no
  catering post-event or prize ceremony, and organisers will also be handing
  out/collecting maps and tags with as few touches as possible. Please drop 
 your team-numbered flight plan directly into the box provided. Touch points

 loch Interchange, take the Tuggeranong Parkway exit towards Woden/Tuggerano
 ng. Very shortly after starting on the Parkway, take the Arboretum exit to 
 the left. At the traffic lights turn left onto Forest Drive. Proceed straig
 ht through the next set of traffic lights to the Rock Garden Carpark, or if
  full, proceed through the manned gate and park on the verge of Barranjoey 
 Drive.</p><p>From Tuggeranong/Woden, travel north along the Tuggeranong Par
 kway towards Civic and exit left to the Arboretum. At the crossroad, turn r
 ight onto Forest Drive (drive under the Parkway). Proceed straight through 
 two sets of traffic lights. Park in the Rock Garden Carpark, or if full, pr
 oceed through the manned gate and park on the verge of Barranjoey Drive.&nb
 sp;</p><p>Alternatively, head north around the lake along Lady Denman Drive
 . At the traffic lights, turn right onto Forest Drive. Proceed to National 
 Rock Garden.&nbsp;</p><h3>Registration, Map Availability, Start Times</h3><
 p>Registration will open at 2:30pm.&nbsp; The mass start will be at 4:00pm 
 and finish at 7:00pm.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>To register, one person only per te
 am to register and collect maps. That person will need to:</p><ul><li aria-
 level="1">bring a first aid kit, so that it can be checked; see below for w
 hat it must contain;&nbsp;</li><li aria-level="1">bring one completed indem
 nity form per team member; and&nbsp;</li><li aria-level="1">check in via th
 e Check In CBR app for all team members.</li></ul><p>Electronic scoring:&nb
 sp;As this event is using the Navlight system of scoring, two tags per team
  will be issued with a wristband and tag upon registration.</p><p>You will 
 also be given pre-marked maps, with control descriptions on the reverse sid
 e, course setter’s notes and an A4 copy of the map to be used as a flight p
 lan. We recommend that you arrive at least an hour prior to when you want t
 o start the event to allow enough time for final preparations and route pla
 nning. Each team must mark their intended route on the flight plan and hand
  it in before starting.&nbsp;</p><h3>Map and Course Details</h3><p>There is
  one A4 sized map at 1:20,000 with 10 m contour interval. Magnetic north li
 nes are marked on the map. Out of bounds areas are marked in pink shading. 
 Black Mountain and Aranda Bushland contain mainly native bush.&nbsp; There 
 are large grassy areas in the Arboretum and around the lake (the grass may 
 be very long). The altitude ranges from the lake (550 m) to 700 m (highest 
 control).&nbsp; Gaiters are recommended for keeping scratchy bushes at bay,
  grass seed out of the shoes and socks and as snake protection.</p><h3>Wate
 r</h3><p>Please bring enough water for Hash House use and for the 3 hours&n
 bsp;on the course. There are no water drops. We do not recommend drinking a
 ny water found on course.&nbsp;</p><h3>Post-event Catering</h3><p>There wil
 l be no post-event catering. Many apologies! We suggest bringing your own p
 icnic hamper to have after the event.</p><h3>Please Bring to the Event</h3>

  you don’t already have it, download the “Emergency Plus” app onto your pho
 ne.&nbsp; It automatically gives you your GPS location which you can tell e
 mergency services.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><h3>Restrictions</h3><p>No pets; no alcoh
 ol; no firearms: no fires.</p><p>No altimeters, pedometers or GPS-capable d
 evices such as watches and smartphones. Smartphones may be carried for emer
 gency use only - they cannot be used for time-keeping or photography.&nbsp;
 </p><p>You must not leave any litter on the course or at the HH.&nbsp;&nbsp
 ;</p><h3>Summary of Event Rules and Scoring</h3><p>The only navigational ai
 ds permitted are the maps we provide together with your compasses.</p><p>Al
 l team members must remain within earshot of each other at all times. All m
 embers must simultaneously get to within 5m of each control point. All team
  members must punch their Navlight tags at each control to score points. If
  a Navlight punch has failed, take a photograph of your team at the flag as
  you won’t be able to see the Navlight code in the locking cases.</p><p>Com
 petitors must not enter out-of-bounds areas. Please read the course setters
  notes.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>The organisers may disqualify a team
  if it acts against these rules or against the spirit of the event.</p><p>A
  team can retire a member at the hash house. This will finish that team's e
 vent. A new team can form but it must start with zero score.</p><p>Late Pen
 alty: 10 points per minute (or part) late. Disqualification if more than 30
  minutes late.&nbsp;</p><p>If teams score equal points then the first team

 p>From Civic, head towards Belconnen along Parks Way. At the Glenloch Inter
 change, take the Tuggeranong Parkway exit towards Woden/Tuggeranong. Very s
 hortly after starting on the Parkway, take the Arboretum exit to the left. 
 At the traffic lights turn left onto Forest Drive. Proceed straight through
  the next set of traffic lights to the Rock Garden Carpark, or if full, pro
 ceed through the manned gate and park on the verge of Barranjoey Drive.</p>
 <p>From Tuggeranong/Woden, travel north along the Tuggeranong Parkway towar
 ds Civic and exit left to the Arboretum. At the crossroad, turn right onto 
 Forest Drive (drive under the Parkway). Proceed straight through two sets o
 f traffic lights. Park in the Rock Garden Carpark, or if full, proceed thro
 ugh the manned gate and park on the verge of Barranjoey Drive.&nbsp;</p><p>
 Alternatively, head north around the lake along Lady Denman Drive. At the t
 raffic lights, turn right onto Forest Drive. Proceed to National Rock Garde
 n.&nbsp;</p><h3>Registration, Map Availability, Start Times</h3><p>Registra
 tion will open at 2:30pm.&nbsp; The mass start will be at 4:00pm and finish
  at 7:00pm.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>To register, one person only per team to regi
 ster and collect maps. That person will need to:</p><ul><li aria-level="1">
 bring a first aid kit, so that it can be checked; see below for what it mus
 t contain;&nbsp;</li><li aria-level="1">bring one completed indemnity form 
 per team member; and&nbsp;</li><li aria-level="1">check in via the Check In
  CBR app for all team members.</li></ul><p>Electronic scoring:&nbsp;As this
  event is using the Navlight system of scoring, two tags per team will be i
 ssued with a wristband and tag upon registration.</p><p>You will also be gi
 ven pre-marked maps, with control descriptions on the reverse side, course 
 setter’s notes and an A4 copy of the map to be used as a flight plan. We re
 commend that you arrive at least an hour prior to when you want to start th
 e event to allow enough time for final preparations and route planning. Eac
 h team must mark their intended route on the flight plan and hand it in bef
 ore starting.&nbsp;</p><h3>Map and Course Details</h3><p>There is one A4 si
 zed map at 1:20,000 with 10 m contour interval. Magnetic north lines are ma
 rked on the map. Out of bounds areas are marked in pink shading. Black Moun
 tain and Aranda Bushland contain mainly native bush.&nbsp; There are large 
 grassy areas in the Arboretum and around the lake (the grass may be very lo
 ng). The altitude ranges from the lake (550 m) to 700 m (highest control).&
 nbsp; Gaiters are recommended for keeping scratchy bushes at bay, grass see
 d out of the shoes and socks and as snake protection.</p><h3>Water</h3><p>P
 lease bring enough water for Hash House use and for the 3 hours&nbsp;on the
  course. There are no water drops. We do not recommend drinking any water f
 ound on course.&nbsp;</p><h3>Post-event Catering</h3><p>There will be no po
 st-event catering. Many apologies! We suggest bringing your own picnic hamp
 er to have after the event.</p><h3>Please Bring to the Event</h3><ul><li ar

  case optional. The map will be printed on Teslin waterproof paper with con
 trol descriptions on reverse side.</li><li aria-level="1">Coloured pens, pe

 d across the course. The Hash House number will be 0457 363 495 (and is pri
 nted on the map).&nbsp; In an emergency please call 000.&nbsp; If you don’t
  already have it, download the “Emergency Plus” app onto your phone.&nbsp; 
 It automatically gives you your GPS location which you can tell emergency s
 ervices.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><h3>Restrictions</h3><p>No pets; no alcohol; no fir
 earms: no fires.</p><p>No altimeters, pedometers or GPS-capable devices suc
 h as watches and smartphones. Smartphones may be carried for emergency use 
 only - they cannot be used for time-keeping or photography.&nbsp;</p><p>You
  must not leave any litter on the course or at the HH.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><h3>S
 ummary of Event Rules and Scoring</h3><p>The only navigational aids permitt
 ed are the maps we provide together with your compasses.</p><p>All team mem
 bers must remain within earshot of each other at all times. All members mus
 t simultaneously get to within 5m of each control point. All team members m
 ust punch their Navlight tags at each control to score points. If a Navligh
 t punch has failed, take a photograph of your team at the flag as you won’t
  be able to see the Navlight code in the locking cases.</p><p>Competitors m
 ust not enter out-of-bounds areas. Please read the course setters notes.&nb
 sp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>The organisers may disqualify a team if it act
 s against these rules or against the spirit of the event.</p><p>A team can 
 retire a member at the hash house. This will finish that team's event. A ne
 w team can form but it must start with zero score.</p><p>Late Penalty: 10 p
 oints per minute (or part) late. Disqualification if more than 30 minutes l
 ate.&nbsp;</p><p>If teams score equal points then the first team home will 
 have a higher rank.</p><h3>Presentation and Awards</h3><p>No printed result
 s will be available on the day. We will put up the results on the website.&
