23Virtual BMbushThe results have been compiled for the solos and teams who "entered" the Four Reserves Virtual Rogaine and could be identified in the MapRun results. There was hot competition at the pointy end with 11 people clearing the course. Ryan Stocks won with a blistering time of 2:42 narrowly beating Tom Driscoll on 2:48.

The Four Reserves Virtualgaine is local with a mix of bush and street, free and you can still do the event as many times as you want. Optimise your route to see if you can clear the course in the 4 hour time limit or explore in different directions.

The course is still available on MapRun.

Check out the event page for details, and tell your friends about it. Teslin copies of the map may be available in Paddy Pallin's (Lonsdale St, Civic) until they run out. Pass your map onto someone else when you've had a go.

Thank you all for your patience as we finalised the results for the 2023 ACT Championships 24 hour and 8 hour events.

Congratulations to David Baldwin and Julie Quinn for winning the ACT 24 hour Championships and Sergey Pikuz, Maria Plyashechko and Sergey Kurov for winning the 8 hour event. But massive congratulations to everyone who competed in less than ideal conditions. 

Due to a few issues on the weekend, including the cold and wet weather on Sunday, we did not hold theChamps trophy presentation ceremonies for each event. Champs prizes

If you are a winner, second or third place we can send you your winning certificates. Winning teams in each category for the 8 hour event are eligible for a winners travel mug. Winning teams in each category for the 24 hour Championship are eligible for an engraved winners glass.

In addition, winners of each category of the 24 hour Championship event will have their names engraved on the perpetual trophy. You can choose to have the trophy to display for the year once we have it engraved. We only ask that you return it prior to the event next year!

23TwilightTreeThe Twilight 3-hour rogaine will be a mix of urban nature park and a bit of metrogaine in south Canberra. The course will feature some of our nature parks in Waniassa Hills and Issacs Ridge as well as taking in nearby suburbs. Leanne, Ross, Sandy and Wayne are keen to show you what they have found.

Preliminary results are now available for the Spring 6/12.

Congratulations to all the springy rogaine teams.  Ivan Koudashev and Xanda Kolesnikow won the 12 hour event and the 6 hour winners were Sarah and Mary Fien.  Everyone enjoyed a dry day and, for the 12 hour teams, some wonderful moonlight.  However, there were a lot of wet and muddy shoes at the finish.  Check out the photos here

Many teams saw snakes and (unfortunately) feral horses.  The orchids had just started to flower and kept some teams on their toes trying to avoid stepping on them.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped run the event, and the control collectors who also had a beautiful sunny day on Sunday. Also thanks to Hartley crew who kept us all fed and even made a very yummy breakfast on Sunday morning.

A few teams managed to get lost driving out to the event. This stemmed from following google advice rather than the “how to get there” in the final instructions on our website.  Please don’t take google “shortcuts”! And remember we will always put a rogaine sign at major turnoffs.
